The first Slovenian film in our catalogue is a fact. The story of Slovenian Girl, directed by Damjan Kozole, takes place in Ljubljana during the country's Presidency of the Council of the EU in 2008. Against this background the film follows 23-year-old girl Alexandra (portrayed by Nina Ivanisin) who leads a double life: She studies English and works as a callgirl. When one of her clients dies during a session, she finds herself in trouble since her client seems to be a member of the European Parliament. Alexandra's secret is threatened... Slovenian Girl was screened during last year's International Film Festival of Rotterdam and is now available at Cultvideotheek NextPage.
